Smile Education delivers measurable workforce development and cost savings for partner trusts through targeted early-career support and sustainable recruitment models. In 2025, 40 trainee teachers received 1-to-1 mock interview support, growing to 83 in 2026, with participants rating the experience 5/5 and two securing roles within trust schools. The programme generated £12,660 in placement savings while building confidence and job readiness. Alongside this, Smile has delivered over £41,500 in temp-to-perm savings since 2023, supported ECT development, strengthened local talent pipelines, and driven continuous improvement through 360-degree feedback.
As well as our MSP support, we support trusts to strengthen their Employer of Choice brand by showcasing what makes their schools great places to work. Through dual-branded recruitment campaigns, targeted social media activity, and locally embedded marketing such as leaflet drops and community outreach, we promote each trust’s values, culture, and opportunities. Insights from termly staff satisfaction surveys, including real quotes and testimonials, are used to evidence positive experiences and build credibility, helping trusts attract, engage, and retain high-quality educators in competitive local markets.
Here is a snapshot of the impact we've generated for our Trusts and their schools:

The Trust secured nearly £25,000 in temp-to-perm savings, reduced time-to-fill urgent vacancies to minutes, and strengthened its employer brand through targeted, dual-branded recruitment campaigns-delivering consistent, compliant staffing across 12 schools and 4 nurseries.

Through Smile Education’s MSP partnership, Mowbray Education Trust achieved 100% fulfilment across all supply requirements, with over 400 days covered across the trust. The partnership delivered an average 16% reduction in recruitment costs, saving more than £2,000 in a single half term. Smile Education delivered Safer Recruitment training to support a Multi-Academy Trust in strengthening safeguarding practice and ensuring full alignment with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE). Delivered face-to-face by accredited trainers, the course combined statutory guidance with practical, discussion-led learning. The training increased confidence across recruitment teams, encouraged reflective best practice, and supported the development of a consistent, trust-wide culture of vigilance and safeguarding.

Through a mock interview initiative delivered with Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, Smile Education supported trainee teachers to build confidence and succeed in real-world recruitment.
Delivered free on university campuses, the programme has already helped two participants secure teaching roles, with many more progressing to school visits and further conversations.
Reaching 40 trainees last year and an expected 150 this year, the initiative delivers clear social value while strengthening early-career talent pipelines for schools.
The Smile Education MSP team are dedicated to supporting their community, whether that's through fundraising, food bank donations, volunteering or dropping off hats and gloves over the winter.
If you need an extra pair of hands at a summer or Christmas fayre, support with new books or simply just a team of dedicated professionals who have your back - we're here.
As part of Smile Education's MSP partnership, primary schools are invited to take part in free, termly football tournaments delivered in partnership with professional football clubs.
Hosted with official club community teams, the tournaments provide inclusive, real-game experiences for pupils, with opportunities for talent identification.
This academic year alone, 22 schools have taken part across three SEN-focused events, benefiting over 200 pupils.
Staff feedback highlights measurable impact on teamwork, resilience, confidence, friendship-building, and positive competitive behaviour-delivering meaningful enrichment alongside clear social value.

"We value this partnership because it goes beyond expectations. They understand our trust, our children and our priorities. "I have worked with Smile since the beginning – they are my favourite ‘go to’ Agency. Olivia and her Team know exactly how a school works, so that when you are dealing with multiple Staff absences first thing in the morning – a quick email to the Smile Team and they sort it with minimum fuss. You can always rely on the staff they send to be smart, professional, and most importantly properly vetted. I recommend this Agency without hesitation, keep up the good work Smile!"
